Farrah Fawcett And Michael Jackson Both have died today.

I’m sorry about Farrah Fawcett… I’m not sure how I feel about the Michael Jackson thing.

The sad part is that Jackson will has already started to overshadow Farrah.

Quite the Trifecta with David Carradine last week.

It’s been a while

Things are still going well. We have had a few moments but worked through them.

The girls are still adjusting. But they are definitely becoming more comfortable in their surroundings.

Oh, and Athena is studying Rodentistry.. Rodentistry

We went to Panama City Beach a couple of weeks ago. Instead of posting all the photos I’ll just Link to them.

Other than that, there isn’t much going on. I rearranged the living room again today. I get bored with the same thing so every couple of weeks I change things around. I inherited that from my mom. Can’t have new? Rearrange.

I guess it’s off with me now. Need some relaxin’ time before I go to bed at 7.

Week #2 with the girls.

Athena is starting to get more comfortable. She’s actually taking treats from my hand now. Her new favorite is Cheerios. She’ll even come to me and sniff and give kisses if I lay down on the floor when I open the cage door. This is how I’m trying to make her comfortable. I’m trying to make her understand I won’t hurt her.

Penelope, on the other hand, is loving life. She likes to play bet you can’t find me when I lay on the floor. She’ll crawl up my shirt or pants leg, then come bounding out and dash in and out of holes that I create with my arms and legs for her. This is her favorite game.

We give them free run (with a close eye on them) of the apartment. Athena looks like she’s marching when she walks and Penelope is either slinking or Hopping like a little kangaroo. It’s amazing how different their personalities are. It is so much fun to watch them.

Boyo loves them too. I was actually surprised by this, but he’s happy to have a pet to love. I even got wished happy Mother’s day today because “Furbabies count”.

I know this doesn’t have much to do with “life with boyo” but it’s part of my life and it’s my Blog. :-P

OOH an update!!

Penelope is much harder to get good photos of. She’s an adventurer and is EVERYWHERE!

Mom and I have started doing Mother/Daughter saturdays. Last weekend we went to Meadowview Growers and I bought a tomato plant for $6.99. It’s doing pretty well except for the roofers dropping crap on the Cage and damaging a stem.

Tomato and Geranium The geranium is a Mother’s day gift from Boyo to his mom.

This weekend we went to the city-wide garage sale in The W.C. (West Carrollton) and I found a papasan chair frame for $10 which came with an ottoman too. Currently that has a throw pillow on it as I couldn’t find a cushion for it, but I did find a big cushion for the chair for $35. So total I spent $47 after tax. Every frame that I’ve found runs about $60. I got the whole thing, then, cheaper than I could have bought the frame.

I also found a cute little sign at JoAnn for $2.50 to put in my little tomato pot.

Not much to report.

Things are pretty calm around here. Mom bought me a Dragon Tree from IKEA. The little trunk has been tied in a knot.

Cute eh?

The Ugly Duckling. He’s my favorite. He’s the only one who looks like this and I want to be his friend. He follows all of the mallards around like the little brother who wants to be cool too…

We have now taken all of the boxes out to the trash, and the apartment seems so empty.  Boyo’s dad is taking us Saturday to get a Dining Room table.  We have one picked out at K-mapart (K-mart to most people).  It’s a Pub Style table.  My walls are empty though.  I still haven’t decided what I want to put up there.  I still need curtains too.  I might go look for them next week.

On a random note, I have the sudden desire to be at a pottery wheel.

We’re home…

Sorry they aren’t the best photos. I can’t wait to have a small little gathering.

Here’s my Kitchen. It’s very white and red, but it’s an apartment so I can’t do too much.

View 2. Please don’t mind the boxes and trash. We’re still settling in.

Living Room 2

Dave’s little office/study nook. The blue things are cross stitch things his mom did when he was a baby. They were important to him, so I thought it would be perfect in his office area.

Bedroom. It’s really white and sterile right now. It needs Curtains (Getting black thermal ones because we get western exposure and when I have to be in bed by 6 or 7pm on Saturdays it makes it really hard to sleep) and some more art work. Maybe even a coat of paint (yes we can paint as long as it is back to white when we move out).

Bedroom

That’s it for now. We don’t have much, but that means less clutter. I’m okay with this. I’m very comfortable here and feeling like I’m home already.

I expect I’ll hear from the apartment lady today.  I’m ready to hear.  I think my worrywart nature has weakened my immune system, hence the Attack of the Super Head Cold.  As I sit here typing this I have a cup of Traditional Medicinals Gypsy Cold Care tea sitting next to me.  I am ready to be over this.

My schedule has been thrown off this week.  I have today and tomorrow off because we have a new guy at work and he would be by himself Friday and Saturday if I weren’t there.  This isn’t a good thing.  Jules and Andy are both off this week, on vacation.   I plan on spending mine unpacking and setting up the apartment.  I’m thinking positively.

I’m noticing that there isn’t much life with Boyo in this blog yet.  Partially because I haven’t seen him since Saturday.  I am so ready to not have to worry about not seeing him.  About not spending time with him.  When I wake up in the morning, my first thoughts are always of him.  Even though we don’t get to spend the night together often, I still roll over in the morning expecting him to be there.  The thought of him coming home and crawling into bed with me makes me so happy.  It’s all so cheesy.  ::grins::  The secret I don’t share is that I kind of like it.
